ILCOR is delighted to announce its selection of “Giants” in the field of Resuscitation Science for 2025. Congratulations to Dianne Atkins, Judith Finn, Robert “Tino” Greif, Rudy Koster, and Robert Neumar! They now join an impressive and elite group of notable individuals who have been honored since 1985 as “Giants”.
ILCOR bestows this honor on only five individuals every five years. All ILCOR Giants are recognized by their ILCOR peers for their outstanding commitment and careers in the field of resuscitation science, and significant contributions to saving lives.
Nominations were solicited from ILCOR Councils and stakeholders and biographical data reviewed in the context of transparent award criteria and attention to diversity, equity and inclusion. The selection committee, composed of council chairs or their designee, the ILCOR Co-Chairs, four at large members, and the selection committee Co-Chairs processed 27 worthy nominees and reached a final selection, with appropriate attention to management of any conflict of interest.
ILCOR looks forward to celebrating their induction together in-person in Rotterdam, Netherlands 20-22 October 2025.
